The Almighty Laser Tape Pro™ Review
Review · Updated June 2026
Our verdict
The flagship, and priced like it. If you measure professionally every day and need long range, a daylight-visible green laser, and measurements that sync to your phone, it earns its keep. For everyone else, it's far more tool than the job requires.
The Almighty Laser Tape Pro™ sits at the top of the range, and it’s aimed squarely at people who measure for a living. The price is a serious step up from the rest of the lineup, so the only question that matters is whether its professional features pay for themselves on your jobsite.
Range and a green laser
Up to 300 ft (90 m) of range handles open sites, large interiors, and exterior runs that would defeat a smaller unit. More importantly for outdoor work, it uses a green aligning laser, which the human eye perceives as much brighter than a red dot — so you can actually place the beam in daylight, where cheaper red lasers wash out and become guesswork.
A display built for the field
The backlit IPS display is customizable: you can adjust font size and color to suit the lighting and your eyes. On a long day of measuring, a screen you can read at a glance — in a dark mechanical room or under full sun — is the difference between fast and frustrating.
App sync is the pro feature
This is the model’s defining advantage. Mobile app sync sends your measurements straight to your phone, so they flow into estimates, floor plans, or records without hand-transcribing numbers from a dusty screen. For estimators and contractors, eliminating that re-keying step removes a common source of costly errors.
Where it gives ground
The built-in tape is a shorter 12 ft, less than the 16 ft on the mid-range models — a minor trade for a tool you’ll mostly use as a laser. And the price puts it out of reach for casual buyers, as it should: this is professional equipment.
Who should buy it
Buy the Laser Tape Pro™ if measuring is part of how you earn — a contractor, estimator, or installer who needs range, daylight visibility, and a clean digital workflow every day. If you’re a homeowner or occasional user, you’ll get everything you actually need from the Almighty Ruler, or the Ruler PRO 2.0 if you want more range. See how all four stack up in the lineup comparison.
