The Almighty Ruler PRO™ 2.0 Review
Review · Updated June 2026
Our verdict
The right pick for frequent users who measure larger spaces. The 393 ft range and bright OLED screen are real, everyday upgrades over the base Ruler — but casual users won't use the extra reach and can save the money.
The Almighty Ruler PRO 2.0 is what you buy when the base Ruler’s 131 ft starts to feel short and you want a screen that’s a pleasure to read. It keeps the 3-in-1 idea — laser, tape, and calculator — and turns up the two specs that matter most when you measure a lot: range and display quality.
Range you’ll actually grow into
A 393 ft (120 m) laser is a big jump. Indoors it’s overkill, which is the point — you’ll never bump the ceiling of what it can measure, whether that’s a long warehouse wall, a property frontage, or a multi-story stairwell. Paired with ±1/12 in accuracy, it stays dependable across that whole range.
The OLED screen is the headline
Most measurers in this class use a basic LCD. The PRO 2.0’s 1.3-inch OLED is brighter and sharper, with strong contrast that’s genuinely easier to read in a dim crawlspace or bright daylight. It sounds minor until you’ve squinted at a washed-out screen on a real job — then it feels essential.
Memory and battery
Memory for 99 measurements turns the tool into a notepad: take a room’s worth of readings, then transcribe them all at once instead of measuring-and-writing in a loop. And with around 3,000 uses per USB-C charge, it’ll go weeks between top-ups for most people.
Who should buy it
The PRO 2.0 is for the frequent measurer — a remodeler, a serious DIYer, a property manager — who measures bigger spaces and wants a screen that doesn’t fight them. If you mostly work indoors and measure occasionally, the base Almighty Ruler is the smarter buy and is actually a touch more accurate on paper. If you need professional features like a daylight-friendly green laser and app sync, step up to the Laser Tape Pro. Not sure? Start with the full lineup comparison.
